Normaliteten (“Normality”) – The way we came to make it – Part 1

Tuva and I met on the set of an “arty” short, Arien. In the shower… Me with the camera, she as an actor. I had been working mostly with producing/filming/directing commercials and internal films for companies the previous years, but wanted to get back to long-form and fiction, which I had worked with as a musician/composer. I had made a very unsuccessful short the previous summer and was generally a bit confused about where and what to take work. Not happy with what I did, and not really seeing ways…

Tech Fun – Resolve

Prepping an edit-screening with assembled audio and rough-grade. And until rendering, everything turned out just fine in Resolve. Resolve has a few quirks still (at least the copy I am sitting on here) When conforming RED-RAW files you must change the default TC setting in the RED-RAW tab. from “Camera” to “Absulute”, then it conforms like a dream from a FCP7 XML. This time a lot of the “basic motion” settings did not come over.   Bliss is that basic retiming works. But I am not on the latest…

Normality

Some 4 years ago, Tuva approached me with the idea of making a new movie. About everything “Normal”. We had just finnished recording (and was far from even approaching the early stages of editing) Sanctuary. I guess I was initially less than enthused. But eventually she had me over. (She can be rather convincing) and we started working on the idea. Not sure if I regret that or not. It has been the most bumpy road imaginable. On many levels. But all of a sudden I am sitting here…

Mostly just hello!

Have been thinking of doing something like this for years, but have always been distraught by the effort.   Say hello. Have a look around. Book me if you wanna or buy some stuff. LOL Have fun!
