Once upon a time, there was a little girl. She was all alone and had nowhere to go.
And like most lonesome little girls with nowhere to go, our lonesome little girls was searching for a Sanctuary.
Sanctuary is a little fairytale about our will to try to fit in to the social demands we meet.
June 2013 Â - The Norwegian Short Film festival
Won the Terje Vigen award.
The Grimstad Jury comment after awarding Sanctuary the Terje Vigen award:
The directors behind (Sanctuary) displays a freedom in research of visual concepts and ways to tell the story. This is possibly the film that the jury ended up discussing the most, and we perceive the way (the directors create) a filmic room which triggers new thoughts and different interpretations as both liberatingly and craftfully done.
This is a dark and playful movie which discusses chaos, order, primal forces, civilization and use of force.
The film has since been chosen for a collection of the best shortfilms (Norsk Kort) of 2013 and is in the Norwegian Film Institutes catalogue of films for international distribution from 2014
